Artist

In our circus workplace, artists are given the space to research, develop new work at their own pace, or train. We support the deepening of artistic questions in an environment where process is as important as outcome.

Residencies

Through residencies, rehearsal space, and mentorship, we offer a place where creators can produce, experiment, and further develop their practice.

Co-production

We co-produce new circus productions and artistic research that support artists and the circus arts. Alongside financial, logistical, technical, and communication support, CIRKLABO helps build connections with the Leuven network. A well-considered timeline and financial plan, including fair remuneration, are recommended.

Next Open Call: fall 2026 for 2028 co-productions

Research Labs 2026

Three weeks of artistic research in Leuven for circus and interdisciplinary performance artists, without production pressure. Together with coaches Yassin Mrabtifi, Hanna Mampuys, and Ward Mortier, participants explore the theme of public space through exchange, experimentation, and shared artistic research with other makers.
