Research Labs

With Research Labs, we invite three or four artists/companies to work alongside each other in Leuven for two weeks, guided by an external coach. This Open Call is for circusartists to freely experiment, conduct artistic research, exchange ideas, and reflect together without the pressure of a final result.
Research Labs takes place from September 8 to September 20, 2025. These two weeks are intended for both starting and experienced circus artists who wish to explore a new artistic direction. In addition to individual working time and personal guidance, we provide space for exchange between the projects and offer a masterclass on methodologies and tools for artistic research. We conclude with a collective sharing moment where the artists present their work to a broader audience.
