Professional support
CIRKLABO prioritizes experimentation and the development of circus arts, thus supporting both artistic research and the creation of new circus art productions. Through annual open calls, CIRKLABO selects projects to support. We continually seek suitable support and locations tailored to the specific needs of each project. To achieve this, we collaborate with a wide network of partners in the socio-cultural and societal fields.

Cirklabo continues to evaluate and experiment. Research Labs focuses on the needs of the circus field. For Open Call 2025 (white space & co-production), we have created a new format.

Co-production (full for 2025)
We co-produce the creation of new circus productions and conduct artistic research in the context of the development of an artist and/or the circus arts. In addition to financial, logistical, technical and communicative support, CIRKLABO searches together with the co-produced initiative for a connection with the local Leuven network. Thoughtful planning and a comprehensive financial plan, with fair compensation for the artists involved, is desirable. If this has not (yet) been worked out, it is best to apply for white space first.

Apart from the annual Open Call, team CIRKLABO is always open to discussion and has other support opportunities throughout the year:
Training
Take the opportunity to use our spaces to train as an artist or company. Are you a new duo or want to delve deeper into a discipline?
Ad hoc space
Are you looking for a space to work on your creation or research last minute? Notify us and we will work with you to find an available space. With this request, we can only offer you a space and no other support.
Co-office
There is a desk at our office that we like to see manned as much as possible. Tired of always working alone at home or too easily distracted? Come join us soon and go for an optimal administration or writing day.
