A duet between juggler and light, a duel between man and machine.
An artist juggles with fluid precision, while a lamp uses its colours and movements to create a visual spectacle. Body, ball and light play a harmonious game of appearing and disappearing, until suddenly the lamp seems to develop its own will. An exciting duel ensues, in which the lamp claims its place in the spotlight: can the lamp make the artist redundant or do they coexist peacefully?
Just the Moon is wordless circus theatre with a subtle comic note that draws young and old alike into an imaginative, poetic world full of suspense. At the same time, this show also touches on current topics such as technology, autonomy and the increasingly blurred boundaries between man and machine.
Close Call Company is a multidisciplinary circus troupe that pursues the synergy between different art forms, balancing between control and chaos. Raff Pringuet has specialised in the synergy between ball juggling and acrodance, and belongs to a generation of young circus creators who graduated from the Leuven circus school. He previously performed with Sinking Sideways, TeaTime Company, Circumstances and Cie Grensgeval.
