A playful, immersive experience about our endless desire for more. What starts out as a simple meal evolves into an absurd ritual full of excess and bizarre scenes. With humour and acrobatics, FOOD invites the audience to a surprising and hypnotic feast that encourages reflection.

An intriguing circus creation that explores man's insatiable consumerism and its impact on our society and environment, by focusing on the physical act of eating and physical play.

Michael Zandl, an Austrian circus artist and graduate of Codarts Circus Arts Rotterdam (2017), makes his debut as a director with FOOD. He gained international recognition with Sawdust Symphony, a show he created with Kolja Huneck and David Eisele and which was sold out twice at the Cirklabo Festival in 2022.

After years of performing on stage, Zandl is now making the switch to the director's chair, where he will work with four exceptional circus performers (Fidel Rott, Jakob Vöckler, Karin Brodén and Hedvig Brodén) to bring this new creation to life.
