Aerial acrobatics, interactive 3D LED lighting and storytelling come together in an immersive, emotional journey that blurs the line between loneliness and connection.

The acrobat moves through a 6x6x6-metre cube, with responsive LED lights acting as performers themselves, shaping the story through their interaction with the acrobat's movements and emotions. This show explores whether loneliness can lead to discovering beauty and how isolation provides space for self-discovery.

ARBO is a creation of !UKBUM!, under the artistic direction of Jef Kinds and Mia Drobec. An innovative force in the circus world, Jef combines his passion for innovation and social topics with a deep fascination for aerial straps – a game of softness and roughness. After studying at Codarts, he founded !UKBUM! and toured Europe and China with MurMur. Mia, a creative producer with a background in philosophy and ethics, has a decade of experience organising festivals, teaching movement practices and leading creative programmes in Berlin. Driven by research and expression, she is always looking for new perspectives and big ideas.
